Belly Dance 101 (Cook Memorial Library)
Reconnect to your divine feminine empowerment and strength. Belly dance is a collection of ancient movements that are both healing and fun. Shake, shimmy, and giggle with Hailey A. Hinson in this belly dance class for reclaiming your powerful inner Goddess. Clothing: Wear comfy clothes like you would for yoga or exercise. Hip scarves are optional. It is more fun to use a scarf, skirt, or something to jingle and jangle when moving the hips. Traditionally, belly dance is done barefoot, however you do you! Dancing is a form of exercise; please do what feels right to your body and health. Stay hydrated. Come with no expectations of yourself.
