Just last week we introduced you to an application of inserting transparent musical star power paper to our flexible plastic tubes for your custom party celebration centerpieces.  This gives a different look to the tubes other than mylar paper shred, lights, candy, etc.   Here’s a recent example of how it highlights this music based custom centerpiece whee the party theme revolved around the popular television program Glee!  Glee, of course, is a popular musical comedy-drama television series that is seen on the Fox network.  According to Wikipedia:   “It touches on the high school glee club New Directions competing on the show choir competition circuit, while its members deal with relationships, sexuality and social issues.”

The custom centerpiece revolved around the Glee music and star theme. It was built on a regular round, styrofoam base which was sprayed and two ribbons were added to its side.  The transparent star paper was added to the flexible plastic centerpiece tube which was then glued to the styrofoam base.  A smaller, round piece of styrofoam was similarly painted and adorned with ribbon and glued to the top of the flexible plastic tube.

The cup on top was filled with mylar shredded paper and represents the fruit flavored ice cream drinks which are frequently thrown on members of the glee club members by jocks, cheerleaders and other so-called popular kids in school.  Highlighted to the left is a faux DVD made with a graphics art program and inserted into a blank CD/DVD case.  To the right is a pennant with the name ‘Sweet Caroline’  which is one of the songs the Glee choir sings.  The name doubles as the table name and custom party place cards to assign seating to guests were made to correspond.  Both were attached by wooden dowel embellished with a corresponding colored ribbon.

We used three colors of mylar paper poofs which went along with the color theme of the party celebration.  Silver onion grass and musical notes completed the package.  All together these readily available items made for a significant impact to the party celebrations’ participants guests.
