A few months ago we made these tall custom sports jersey centerpieces for a bar mitzvah celebration party. Several sports were represented. We used the same flexible plastic tubes to make the tall bases.

However we did not use a real jersey or t-shirt mounted on a card board support. Instead we cut the top out of polystyrene. We painted it with the sports team colors and decorated with team names on the front.

Represented above (right to left) are the Chicago (football) Bears, the Los Angeles (basketball) Lakes and the Chicago (soccer) Fire. The jersey on the tight of this close up shows the back of the jersey with the player’s name and number.

The picture below shows one of the centerpieces in full view. This was for the St. Louis Cardinal (baseball) team.
