How It Began

A-BnC Parties and More, Inc. is a family owned and operated U.S. based small business started in 1990 as a custom gift basket and catalog gift service.  It was started as a sole proprietorship and launched while sitting around a kitchen table. The origin of our corporate name was formulated at the same kitchen table. Many operating decisions continue to be made in that same setting today.

Through our involvement with the Buffalo Grove (Illinois) Chamber of Commerce, our reputation and demand for our services grew. With our rapidly expanding customer base, our expertise soon spread to party planning and consulting for private and public events.

We, ourselves, started as do-it-yourselfers and have always supported and encouraged our adventurous, do-it-yourself-centerpiece customers. In 1993 we wrote and published “U-Do-It Centerpieces – A Guide for $aving$.”  To this day we continue to offer supplies and know how to others wishing to do the same.

Judy Yublosky, our corporate president, has presented seminars and workshops throughout the metropolitan area for libraries and other group meetings. Judy was listed in “Best of the Best” for the Northwest (Chicago) Suburban Library System for her presentation on gift baskets and theme centerpieces. Her HOW-TO video has been a local cable television staple and can be loaned at an area library. She continues her availability to provide informational talks to the public.

 From inception, our company goals have been to serve customers on a one on one basis while following the golden rule. Our philosophy has always been to give customers what they want and to deliver more than what is expected. We try to go out of our way to ensure customers are happy. Lasting friendships have grown from, or been enhanced through, our business relationships.   Some we have served through their birthday parties, graduations, or other events, now use us for their weddings.

A-BnC Parties does not mass market. Nor will you find shopping cart formulas or automatic freight calculators. We deal with people as they are referred to us or find us on their own. To make things somewhat easier, we now invoice through PayPal for Web shoppers.
