Is your buffet table set for the upcoming bowl and playoff season? Or for your larger themed party or event? Bar Mitzvah? Bat Mitzvah? League?
Pictured to the left is a DIY football themed sports centerpiece base. Do it yourself by starting with a rectangular piece of 1-1/2″ styrofoam covered with artificial grass and ribboned in your team’s colors. Add goal posts made out of pvc pipe and fittings.
Garnish as preferred, for example with miniature football players (above). Add colorful cutouts (below) to your do it yourself football sorts theme centerpiece. They can be painted and highlighted with water based paints. Or print overlays on your computer and glue using a low temperature glue gun.
Add a regular team pennant or custom designed pennant to show your team support!

Cute, we made a similar thing for our sons graduation party but we used a roll of synthetic grass out in the yard and had football decorations around the house, would have loved the pennants.
Did you make these pennants? If so how???
Hi Robin,
All the pennants except for the one that has Michael Jordan’s name on it are authentic licensed pennants. They are sold by sport (football, baseball, basketball) and are $27.00 for the complete set of teams. Usually around 30 or so. The Michael Jordan one we produced and is a custom pennant available for $2.50 each. It can be customed to whatever you would like on it. The only thing that cannot be done is the logo of the team as that is a trademark infringement.
Thanks for asking…….
